Light is life...and artistry in motion.
With today's technology, taking a picture is a fairly easy process. It hasn't always been that way. More than 100 years ago taking a photograph required talent, skill, the right equipment and a whole lot of technical knowledge.
I honed my photography skills responding to breaking stories as a journalist. For more than eight years, I covered everything from fatalities on the roadside to NFL football.
No matter what the situation was, every picture needed to tell a complete story in a single image. I learned quickly how to work in the most challenging of environments. As a reporter/photographer covering the military, those challenges were often amplified by mortal dangers. Heck, I once shot pics to go with a story while doing loops in an aerobatic biplane.
Now, in my freelance career, I bring an enhanced level of technical skills with me on every shoot. Above all else, every image is artistry in motion.
